Sono aperte le iscrizioni per la XI edizione del Rome Independent Film Festival

Sino al 15 dicembre 2011 sarà possibile presentare opere cinematografiche per partecipare alla undicesima edizione del RIFF - Rome Independent Film Festival - che si terrà a Roma dal 12 al 20 aprile 2012 presso il Nuovo Cinema Aquila. Anche quest’anno il RIFF offrirà ai filmakers l’occasione per presentare opere originali in anteprima assoluta: la sezione New Frontiers, dedicata alle opere prime, già da cinque anni raccoglie e presenta, in prima serata, pellicole provenienti da tutto il mondo, dando particolare rilievo alla produzione italiana. Per incentivare la distribuzione delle opere indipendenti italiane, il film vincitore verrà programmato in diverse sale cinematografiche della capitale in compartecipazione col Ministero della Gioventù.
Tra i premi in palio, quello patrocinato dalla Regione Lazio, del valore di 2.500 euro, da destinare allo sviluppo del progetto vincitore nella sezione “miglior cortometraggio” e il Premio Distribuzione, offerto anche quest’anno dal Nuovo Cinema Aquila – sede della manifestazione – che consiste nella possibilità per il film di lungometraggio vincitore di rientrare nella programmazione del cinema.
Le opere selezionate per il concorso saranno oltre 150 (nell’edizione 2011 sono state inviate al Festival più di mille tra pellicole e DVD, provenienti da 50 paesi).

Feature Films (lungometraggi);
New Frontiers (opera prima);
Documentary Films (documentari a tema libero e sui diritti umani);
Short Films (cortometraggi);
Digital Video (digitale);
International Student Films (per studenti delle scuole di cinema);
Animation (animazione);
Screenplays & Subject (sceneggiature & soggetti);
Il programma del RIFF 2012 sarà arricchito da retrospettive e seminari concernenti vari aspetti della cinematografia. Al termine del Festival verranno assegnati i RIFF Awards per un valore di oltre 50.000 Euro.
Con il sostegno dell’Assessorato alle Politiche Culturali e Centro Storico di Roma Capitale, il contributo del Ministero dei Beni Culturali – DGC, del Ministro della Gioventù e il contributo dell’Assessorato alla Cultura, Arte e Sport della Regione Lazio, il Rome Independent Film Festival registra ogni anno crescenti apprezzamenti e si conferma come un importante appuntamento per il cinema indipendente.

RIFF Awards 2012
It is now time to apply for the 11th Edition of the Rome Independent Film Festival. Online Call for entryRome (Italy), september, 27 2011.
The 15th of december 2011 is deadline for submitting works to participate to the 11th Edition of the RIFF (Roma Independent Film Festival) that will take place in Rome at the Nuovo Cinema Aquila from the 12th to the 20th of April 2012.

Also this year Filmmakers will have the possibility to propose their original works as a first-ever preview in the section “New Frontiers”, dedicated to the first work of an artist, for the last 5 years,the RIFF collects and presents in prime time, works coming from all over the world, giving particular attention to Italian production.
Among the prizes, the one sponsored by Regione Lazio, worth 2,500 euro for the development of the winner project in the "Best Short" section, and the Distribution Prize, offered once again this year by Nuovo Cinema Aquila - the event’s venue - which consists in the possibility for the winning movie to be part of the regular cinema programming.

Documentary Films (documentary films on human rights and on free themes);
Short Films;
Digital Video;
International Student Films (for cinema students);
Animation;
Screenplays & Subjects;
The program of the RIFF 2012 will be enriched by retrospectives and seminars on different aspects of the film industry. At the end of the Festival, the RIFF Awards will be given and they are worth over 50.000 €.
Supported by the Directorate of Cultural Policies of the City of Rome, with the contribution of the Ministry for Cultural Activities (DGC) and the Directorate of Culture, Performing Art and Sport of the District of Lazio, every year the Roma Independent Film Festival is recording more and more appreciations and imposing as an important appointment for the Independent Cinema.
